Encounter on the Road To Emmaus - Luke 24 (13-35)

One of the most difficult things I've done in my spiritual life was also one of my most rewarding. I was the Lay Director of Walk 2201 - Hays Praise Emmaus Community - Hays County, Texas.

It happened to be the last Walk to Emmaus the community had before the pandemic. It was held Jan 30 - Feb 2, 2020 at the Wellspring Retreat Center in Blanco, Texas.

If you are seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ and you've never been on a Walk To Emmaus, I highly recommend it. It's a 72 hour retreat where you are removed from the world around you and are able to concentrate on your spirituality. You can find more information and likely find a community in your area from this site: link

Hopefully, when it is safe to gather again, new Walks will take place.

Anyhow... Once church services were relegated to online, I was asked to deliver the bible verse one Sunday and it happened to be the "Encounter on the Road To Emmaus."

I called several folks from Walk 2201 and we recorded ourselves.

I wanted to share this. Love. Moves. First.
